Ed Hewes
President

Responsibilities:
As President, Mr. Hewes is responsible for managing the design and construction management operations of the projects. He oversees the work for the senior project managers, project managers, associate project managers and project superintendents.

Experience:
Mr. Hewes has 30 years experience in commercial, industrial and governmental construction and was with Opus South Construction Corporation from 1982-2008. He served as the licensed general contractor for OPUS South Pensacola. As the President, he is involved with all aspects of the business.

B.S., Building Science, Auburn University

As a Project Manager, responsibilities include estimating, scheduling and manpower integrating, project budgeting, coordinating and administrating subcontracts, quality control, material procurement and project close-out to ensure customer satisfaction and goals are met.

Experience:
Eleven years experience in commercial, industrial, and government construction and was with Opus South Construction Corporation since 1999. As the Project Manager, he was focused on the Pensacola area projects.

Carl Kane
Superintendent

Responsibilities:
Mr. Kane is responsible for providing leadership and support for all field related operations. He mentors, evaluates, monitors and leads all Project Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents on all aspects of their roles through training and one-on-one interaction. He coordinates field quality assurance and control, labor resources and allocation, safety inspection and training, warehouse and yard, equipment procurement and maintenance, truck procurement and maintenance, staffing, and warranty work. He also provides interaction between the field and office during pre-construction phases of all projects.

Experience:
Mr. Kane has 37 years experience in commercial, industrial and governmental construction and was previously with Opus South Construction Corporation from1970-2008
