This new facility for Pensacola Christian College consists of a multi-use sports and recreational facility featuring an ice skating rink, twelve lane bowling facility, NCAA basketball arena, racquet ball courts, miniature golf, volleyball, exercise facility and an indoor track. The Sports Center Annex is connected to the original building by a two story breezeway. The annex includes 80,000 square foot multi use sports complex with a main floor, a mezzanine level and sun deck on the roof.
Our services include pre-construction, construction and post-construction activities. As the Construction Manager, Ed Hewes was tasked with early budget exercises, value engineering, team coordination, design scope review, submittal review, budget review, product review and analysis, project management, owner direct purchase management, scheduling, development of the GMP, subcontractor bidding and contracting, shop drawing review and close out documentation.
The sports center was completed on time, under budget and to the customer’s satisfaction. Change orders were minimal and consisted of Owner Upgrades.
